BIOGRAPHY

Nice to meet you

Marta Panzacchi Artist

I was born and raised in Italy, I attended art high school and continued my education studying Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni in Milan.

In the subjects that are part of my artistic research, I am not looking for a quiet beauty, I am looking for conflict and intensity, a strong dialogue that challenges the viewer’s gaze at the cost of scandalizing, I want the artworks to act as a door to feelings and an experience of the soul.

My goal is to deal with common stereotypes and distort them, bringing the reflection on “what if it’s not so?”. In particular, I want to bring out the presence of women as a thought in history, both starting from known myths, and bringing out my personal point of view on how history could be rewritten.

I perceive art as freedom from shame and therefore the best tool to communicate a message with the aim of achieving real change. I found in art an effective means of expression to communicate my points of view where with words I could not.

Dealing with delicate topics, given the unforgettable period we are living, I use an ironic language, that is direct but not in a way to be rejected by the public because it is perceived as accusatory, aggressive or contentious, an approach to be able to communicate real discomfort that should be understood and on which reflections should be made. My idea is to create, through art, an empathetic connection with people through irony and destabilization that forces reflection.

I almost always use mixed techniques, acrylics, crayons and 3d applications that make the paintings more real and interactive with the viewer, I like to think that they stimulate the most impulsive part, characteristic of children, which is that of wanting to touch, and that unconsciously and physically brings the viewer closer.
